Kerry success in Ace Signs Cork 20 International Rally

Kerry Motor Club members enjoyed great success over the weekend in the Ace Signs Cork 20 rally. Despite the challenging weather conditions Kilcummin man John McCarthy guided Cork driver Barry Meade to 3nd Overall in the Modified Section. The crew had a hard fought battle with Pauric Duffy in the Fiesta R5, with the Mayo driver just doing enough to secure 2nd OA by 38secs in the final few stages. Rockchapel garage man Anthony Keating & co driver Killian Cronin had a dominate weekend in class 9. They took the lead after SS2 which they never surrendered and brought their Ford Escort Mk4 to an excellent 26TH overall after some sideway driving in the slippy conditions.
Well done to Munster Car Club for running a great event and a big thank you to all our members who travelled down for marshalling, there was a big turn out on both days.
